Your most honest writing deserves the most serious protection.
The questions to ask any AI journal before you write anything honest in it: who can read this, what happens to the data, and is the company training models on what you write. If the answers are not clear, the safest assumption is that your thoughts are not as private as you think.
Seauton was built around the opposite assumption. Privacy is not a feature added later. It is the precondition for the kind of writing the app is designed to receive.
What Privacy Means in Seauton
End-to-end encryption. Your entries are encrypted in transit and at rest, via Supabase. The encryption is not optional or a paid tier. It is the default.
No training on your data, ever. Your journal entries are never used to train AI models. Not Seauton's models, not anyone else's models. This is not a vague promise. It is how the system is built.
No third-party sharing. Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with advertising partners, data brokers, or any external service. The only systems that touch your entries are the ones running the analysis you asked for.
Real deletion. When you request permanent deletion, your data is actually removed from the database. Not soft-deleted, not anonymized and retained, not held for analytics. Deleted.
Why This Matters More for an AI Journal
A paper journal in a drawer has one obvious risk: someone in the house could find it. A digital journal that runs through AI has different risks. The data has to be stored. It has to be transmitted. It has to be analyzed. Each of these steps is a place where privacy can quietly erode if the system was not built carefully.
Seauton was built carefully. The architecture assumes that what you write is among the most sensitive content you produce. The defaults reflect that assumption.
What This Allows
When privacy is real, you write differently. You write the things you would not put in a journal you suspected someone might read. You write the thoughts you have not told a partner, the patterns you are embarrassed by, the parts of yourself you have not yet decided what to do with.
This is where the actual work of self-knowledge happens. It cannot happen if you are subtly editing for an audience. Seauton's privacy architecture is in service of one outcome: an honest entry.
What Seauton Does Not Do
It does not require a phone number for signup. It does not share data with social platforms. It does not run ads, anywhere, ever. It does not have a "we may share your data with partners" clause buried in the terms.
The terms of service and privacy policy are written in plain language and available at seauton.framer.ai.
